Design, build and care / Est. 2011
A landscape studio for people who plan in decades. We draw the garden, we build the garden, and then we stay to look after it as it settles into the ground.

The studio
Every scheme starts with the soil, the light and the way you actually walk the property. Then structure: hedging, trees, stone. The flowers come last, because they are the easiest thing to change and the hardest thing to lean on.
Planting plans drawn by hand, then grown in. Structure first, softness second.
→Kitchens, fire terraces, plunge pools and the lighting that makes them work after dark.
→Dry laid walls, bluestone terraces, still pools cut into a slope.
→A dedicated crew, a seasonal calendar, and one person who answers the phone.
→The year
Care is written into the contract from day one. The same crew returns every season, so nobody has to relearn your property in July.
Spring
Cutbacks, fresh edges, compost worked in, and the first flush of bulbs already planned the autumn before.
Summer
Irrigation audited weekly, canopy lifted for airflow, and the lawn cut at the height that survives August.
Autumn
The best planting window of the year. Trees go in, perennials get split, and next spring gets written.
Winter
Structural pruning, hardscape construction, and the quiet season when the garden shows its bones.
Recent gardens
Photographed in the third season, once the planting has knitted together and the stone has started to weather. That is when a garden is worth showing.

We take on a small number of gardens each year. The first visit is a slow walk of the property and an honest answer about what it wants to become.
